Ski Instructor employment help
Hey guys,
im a 19yr old Australian looking to be a ski instructor in the 09/10 season, ive got my APSI certificate and have applied online through the mountain for the job. I havent gone through any companies like OWH. Was just wondering if anyone could give me any hints or help on how to get the job. I have been told its really hard..

its not that hard generally to get a job as a ski instructor if ur certified already... although the 09/10 season will be different as the mtn has already announced theyll be hiring significantly less instructors for this season as visitor numbers are expected to be off by quite a bit. only thing u can do is apply and see what happens. this season many instructors were laid off with little to no notice in feb/march as its been slow due to the recession and other factors....

thanks for the reply. i spoke to a really nice girl at the ski school who told me that exact thing. Kinda sucks, but im going to give it a go and if i get the position ill be stoked if not ill try something else.. Whats another good job to get?
