Do not worry. You won't have a problem. Next season is a long way away.

Do you both require rooms or will you be looking to share a single room? Whole apartment, house etc? I guess a better question is, what is your budget?

Welcome to the site Sam!

Np Sam. It's fairly easy to get the perfect place if you come prepared with a good budget and reserve. Check out the classifieds for pricing. I personally like staying in the Village area right in the action.

Keep your eyes on this link to the local classifieds updated at 12 noon each Thursday BC time. Then combine that research with this map of Whistler. Notice the lift lines. Creekside has one lift, a good one, but it's season is shorter than the others and you have to bus to town to party. Even though the ride to village center is only 5 minutes and the busses run until 3am it's still sort of a hassle to be on the outskirts like Creekside or Alpine. Also be advised that some neighborhoods are uphill such as the ones near Blackcomb so heading home on foot into those neighborhoods after a few powder runs might be frustrating.

You will see very few ads in there right now while the season is in fullswing and it is powder time but come the end of the season and until start next season the ads will be quadruple.

You will also notice that rent and utilities for 5 months for a 1 bdrm private accommodation will take your whole budget. My advice is to share with others. Rent a single room with your bud that has 2 beds. Live in a big multimillion dollar house right by the slopes that has several bedrooms rented. Be picky, it's ok. Find some good people when you get here.
I also recommend reserving at least a week way in advance at a hotel that is central to everything. If you arrive on November 15th for sure then go ahead and book a week at a local hotel this far in advance to get a great deal. Here is a link to our reservation engine where you will find the best deal for a hotel for your first week.

I have converted prices to GBP for your convenience and I am seeing incredible deals such as 58 GBP per night right in the village for that week at properties that are usually about $500/night. Link here:

I am trying to persuade my other half to agree to going to Whistler for next season - we just got back from a 10 day hols and I only got one day on the slopes because I injured myself the second day. I really miss Whistler now I'm back home. How hard is it to get a work visa if you live in UK? I am 28.
